Quinebaug Middle College is located on the peaceful campus of Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC) in Danielson, QMC offers high school students a middle college experience that enables them to earn a high school diploma while taking college courses, and transferable college credits from QVCC.  Our scholars select from one of our six learning pathways:Liberal Arts and Humanities,Education,Business Leadership,Engineering,Manufacturing and Allied Health Sciences.  Core academic and elective courses and mentorship opportunities are aligned with the individual learning pathways. In addition, our scholars gain real-world experience in project management, public communications, and community organization and leadership. QMC is now seeking an experienced special education teacher to deliver personalized, competency based instruction. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching learning disabled and socially emotionally challenged students, possess knowledge of effective SEL strategies, and have experience designing and implementing tiered interventions. In addition, we seek a person with experience with case management, writing competency based IEP's, personalized learning plans and working as a collaborative and creative team member.

Emergency Educator Certification Endorsements
On Wednesday, December 1, the Connecticut State Board of Education adopted the following temporary emergency endorsements, effective for the 2021-22 school year: Emergency Generalist, PK-8 (#201), Emergency Generalist, 7-12 (#202), Emergency Teacher of English Language Learners, PK-12 (#204) and Emergency PK Authorization for Comprehensive Special Education, K-12 (#205).  These endorsements may be issued to any educator who currently holds an appropriate Initial, Provisional, or Professional Educator Certificate, including interim certificates, upon a mutually agreed submission of the request by the LEA/District.  Please see the attached Certification Alert for additional information.  Requesting LEA/District personnel may access the ED 2020 form under the Bureau’s District Resources page here: https://portal.ct.gov/SDE/Certification/Certification-Resources-for-Districts
