EASTCONN is a regional educational service center committed to providing high-quality, innovative educational programs and services to the communities it serves. Quinebaug Middle College (QMC) is a unique early college high school located on the campus of Quinebaug Valley Community College, offering students the opportunity to earn college credits while completing their high school diploma.

 

Position Summary:
EASTCONN is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Math Teacher to join the faculty at QMC starting in the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will inspire and support a diverse group of high school students in developing strong mathematical skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence in problem-solving. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Integrate technology and real-world applications into lessons
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student success
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid Connecticut teaching 029 certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12)
• Experience teaching at the secondary level; early college or dual enrollment experience is a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning
