EASTCONN  is seeking an experienced, reliable Mechanic to join our team with our Division of Transportation. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles including cars, vans, buses, and other automobile equipment.

Primary duties include:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and determining necessary repairs
• Replacing worn, defective, or broken parts including brake components, wheel bearings, sensors, control modules, and other vehicle systems
• Performing preventative maintenance including tire rotations, oil changes, fluid flushes, alignments, and multipoint inspections
• Utilizing diagnostic software and advanced computerized equipment to pinpoint issues
• Completing documentation including repair work orders, parts/labor tracking, and updates to vehicle service histories
• Ensuring repairs are completed properly and vehicles are safe to drive

For appointment:

• The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working on automobiles.

• Formal automotive trade school training and ASE certification preferred.

• Must have a diverse mechanical aptitude across vehicle types and knowledge of diagnostic equipment.

• Must hold a CT Drivers license.  CDL a plus but will train.

• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.  

• Must be highly detail oriented and be able to work independently in a fast pace team environment.

• Must be able to perform vehicle maintenance tasks including updating and maintaining vehicle files/records.
